Taco John’s® Takes Home Innovation Award

This is a big-time win. Taco John’s® is one of only four brands to win an Innovation Award this year from the International Foodservice Manufacturers Association (IFMA).

“Winning the consumer today requires exceptional strategy and execution,” said IFMA President & CEO Larry Oberkfell. “These Innovation Award winners are consummate at both, and find a way to stand above their competition during difficult economic times. Congratulations to our winners for demonstrating that innovation is a winning strategy.”
Taco John’s® is taking home the Culinary/Operations Innovation Award. The award recognizes companies that demonstrate true innovation in one or more areas, including food preparation, quality and/or presentation, introduction of new menu items, addressing trends that drive consumer behavior (things like health, wellness, flavor, nutrition and demographics), and operational systems.

IFMA picked Taco John’s® because of the restaurant chain’s success with the Street Taco promotion, in addition to recent menu items like the Chicken and Gravy Breakfast Burrito and the Chicken Quesadilla Taco.

Taco John’s® will pick up the award on March 7 at the IFMA Chain Operators Exchange (COEX) conference in Las Vegas. The other winners are Arby’s, Chick-fil-A and Granite City Food & Brewery. Check out the details at
